The cultural program of CULTNAT in cooperation with the Child’s Museum in Heliopolis organizes A workshop for the Children entitled: “Every good thing: The Kitchen in Ancient Egypt”
The ancient Egyptian Civilization is considered a civilization of life and resurrection. They both need a secured place, beautiful clothes and good food. The degree of refinement of nations is known by the quality of their food and the variety of cooking methods. The ancient Egyptian kitchen was the first in producing bread. They excelled in presenting different shapes of bakery, with different ingredients, sugary and salty. The ancient Egyptian gastronomy presented nutrition systems with authentic Egyptian character and suitable for the climate and nature.
Drawing and coloring, the children will recognize the Egyptian food menus and the ancient Egyptian way of cooking. They will know how to prepare “Al Shaet Cookie”. In addition they will get to know the kinds and names of bread.
